In the middle of this global pandemic, it has sometimes felt that there isn't much we can do as the church to love our own friends and family, let along our suffering community.
Well in Boulder, CO we see quite a bit of that same pain. With a demographic of very wealthy "granola" business owners, broke and lost college students, and a significant homeless population, the mission field was ripe for God to work.
The church still wasn't meeting, but the community was still hurting. they saw a need and decided to do something about it. Enter our friends, Josiah & Ally.
This awesome couple decided to pour out some love on the community by starting Jesus Burgers. A weekly Friday night cookout to hand out food to the Boulder community.
Here is their mission Statement:
We believe that the glory of god is on this generation and we just want to wake people up to the reality that God delights in the them. We give out free hamburgers to everyone who passes by so that they may have an encounter with the Father's Love. No agenda, no religion, just Jesus.
In just a few short months, they have been able to impact not only dozens of students and homeless community members, but they have had the chance to partner with multiple churches who want to support them in this ministry.
They have even had the chance to partner with Reach Church for nights of worship and food. AND while they have only been ministering to this community since the summer of 2020, they have already seen salvations! Praise God!
We love and support this ministry and can't wait to see all that God is going to continue to do through them!
